"Bonus!!" "Woah there, not so fast..."

Today I woke up to the tune of an extra $144.00 in the bank. Awesome bonus!! It was something I was totally not expecting, and "free" money is always a good thing. After all, as I always say, I tend to get excited when I find a loonie in the couch cushions. And, in fact, I did find a loonie today, and I was pretty stoked.

Back to work, slave!

You all know already that I was laid off from my job at the pet store behind my place last week, and I collected my severance and cashed out and all that crap. Now I have to state my case to get more hours at the one place where they still pay me, an uphill battle so steep that I'm actually thinking of just accepting my fate behind less-skilled employees who have been there two years less than I have, yet not only have more hours, but also my fucking key.

In my previous entry, I mentioned that I was going to get a cheque cashed. Well, it just hasn't happened. I suppose it stems from being excessively demotivated to do anything these days, especially when all of the shit rolled downhill and subsequently exploded on my exact position. But it really has to be done now. Or I guess it could be done tomorrow, but there are things I need to look into today anyway. And I have to make a fairly important phone call, which I'm certain I'll get into in a later entry.  And now for something completely different...

So I decided that I should take up blogging again, since I've been going on these huge tirades on twitter that take up like, a billion twitter posts. 140 characters just can't contain what I need to say these days. So now I can say a bunch of shit and post a tiny link. Booyah.
