Today I woke up to the tune of an extra $144.00 in the bank. Awesome bonus!! It was something I was totally not expecting, and "free" money is always a good thing. After all, as I always say, I tend to get excited when I find a loonie in the couch cushions. And, in fact, I did find a loonie today, and I was pretty stoked.
But hold on there, pardner. In my life, there is no great without the awful. Turns out my mouse Jet has seen better days. Jet has been in a bit of a prickly situation for a little while. When Chatter died, he started to get a little antsy, running in his wheel literally all night and eventually scratching at his face habitually. There was a time when his fur was totally gone on the right side of his face.
To fix this, we got him a friend, Guinness, and his scratching stopped, his face began to heal and they have been getting together great... just in time for his health to fail. This is getting to be too much for me. He's a good mouse, so why does he have to end up this way??
With any amount of luck, he'll pull through... but who are we kidding? This is my life we're talking about. There's no such thing as "good luck" with me...
Here's to another blase day. Stuck right in the middle, yet again.
